Tanith Butters

Tanith was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002 aged 28, shortly after the birth of her second child.  She spent the next 7 years undergoing a double mastectomy and reconstruction, chemotherapy and radiotherapy as part of her treatment.

Sadly, Tanith died on a family skiing holiday with her family, in February 2009 at the age of just 35.

“ Tanith was simply the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend you could ever wish for”, say family and friends.  Tanith brought people together and went out of her way to do so, she was supportive, reliable and loving in every way. To everyone who knew her she had so much love to share and was the one who would always find time to help others.

This terrible disease did not dim Tan’s zest for life or prevent her from doing the things she loved, and she would often leave a trail of family and friends in her wake struggling to keep up, whether it was skiing, riding, dancing, shopping or holidaying!

“She gave so much happiness and so many precious memories to those she loved”
